Mexico-Elmhurst Philatelic Society International

Mexicana

Mexicana is the quarterly journal of the Society and is provided as a part of each membership. It contains articles on Mexico's philately as well as information on the Society's activities through the year. The majority of the articles are written by members who have a demonstrated expertise on the topics they write about.

Mexicana was first published as "THE ELMEXICONIAN" in 1953. It soon became Mexicana, the title it carries today. Mexicana is carried as non-profit mail by the United States Post Office and as Global Mail Business by DHL to our members outside the United States. It is published in January, April, July and October of each year. Mexicana has garnered a number of Gold Medals in philatelic literature competitions.

If you have a topic you would like to write on or would like to see in the magazines pages, please contact the Editor.

A printed index to Mexicana, covering 1952 through 2001, is available from the Publications Chairman. Contact him to order.

A supplemental index, covering 2002 through 2013 is availble by clicking Searchable Index. This document is provided free of charge but is intended for the use of members in the furtherance of the hobby. It is copyrighted by the Society.

Take a look at the October 2012 Mexicana issue. Digital copies of Mexicana, through 2015, are available from the librarian. Back issues are not otherwise available.
